[ Living together with TRIGGER wasn't something he thought he would ever do, and if asked this time last year, he would have said that it was impossible. But, the way things have aligned were impossibly less than perfect, and here they are -- A month or so into living together in the same house. There have been spats, of course, but -- ... He wishes he could say that it was as impossible as he thought it would be. It's warm, here. Interactions when waking up and going to sleep and eating and coming home are less stilted. It's almost as if he can take his mask off when behind closed doors -- Not just the one of the perfect Modern-day Angel, but the sharp and cold and uncaring one covering up everything he's pushed down.
It's a saturday that they don't have anything lined up for work. Kaoru won't let him go out and do anything, tells him he needs time to himself to unwind, less he wants to end up in the hospital again. This has him idly straightening things up around the house, making stir-crazy circles in absence of anything else to do. Gaku's left a jacket in the living room, and after making a snide comment about his organizational skills to nobody but himself, he opts to bringing it back to his room for him.
Like a proper older sibling, he knocks and immediately lets himself in, with little respect for what the man inside could be doing. ]

he and Ryuu have speculated on how this came to be. it's been years since Tenn lived with Riku, after all, and even then, it's hard to imagine Idolish7's genuinely angelic center doing that kind of thing, prepubescent hormones or not.
(that's about as far as the conversation ever gets, because it feels too much like tempting fate when Tenn could be just around any corner)
so while Gaku's reflexes have been forced to improve, thanks to Tenn's terrible roommate habits, there's only so much he can do with that little warning. which, in this case, means throwing a sheet over his lap and slamming pause on what's very obviously an Adult kind of video that's currently displayed on his computer screen.]
—Tenn, not now.
no subject
Gaku upon his entrance scuttling to move is one thing, but ... his computer screen is in plain view, and so is ... well, the entirety of the actress in the video. Instead of turning bright red, apologizing, and slamming the door like some people might, a slow smirk makes it's way across his face. ]
...Oh?
So even you do this.
no subject
What, and you don't?
no subject
[ He isn't leaving. He's crossing his arms and leaning against the doorframe, smug. ]
no subject
he should really, at least, close the video, but that would involve breaking eye contact, which is tantamount to admitting defeat.]
You're going to ask me that after barging in here unannounced? Were you trying to catch me doing something?
no subject
This was in the living room. I was returning it.
[ a beat ]
An OL-san, huh? That's cliche.
no subject
[not that Gaku doesn't appreciate Tenn's little housewife act the rest of the time, admittedly, but they were reaching a pretty clear limit here.]
Since when are you an expert on AV tropes? That doesn't mesh with your image— either of them.
no subject
no subject
I'm not about to get lectured on something like this by a brat like you.
no subject
It must be so hard for you.
[ did tenn just make a pun? yes, because catching gaku in moments of weakness where he isn't as cool as the media would like him to think is always golden, even if it's the slightly awkward situation of catching him while he masturbates. ]
no subject
You're not funny. Now are you going to leave, or are you planning to just stand there and watch me?
no subject
[ They usually spat, but it usually isn't over something like this -- usually isn't this ... juicy, so to say, and even with it's subject matter, Tenn doesn't particularly feel like walking away. ]
no subject
really, that's the only reason.]
Voyeurism's as cliche as you can get, isn't it?
no subject
He refuses to even think about acknowledging that there could be more weight behind this. ]
It's about on the same level as an OL-san.
no subject
he leans back in his chair, letting out a still heavily annoyed sigh.]
Then that puts you on the same level as me, Tenn. I'm not the one trying to catch people in the act.
no subject
no subject
[unfortunate that Gaku is still rising to all of Tenn's bait while trying to play cool. he lasted for all of five seconds, which honestly, might still be some kind of record for him.]
no subject
Aah...
Well, have fun, Gaku.
[ and then leaves, before this gets even weirder! ]
no subject
except!
there's no way Gaku can actually get off now, after that exchange. not that he really tries, because touching his dick again after having a verbal sparring match with Tenn somehow feels— a way he doesn't even want to get into. he figures that the awkwardness will pass, just like every other uncomfortable situation he's gotten into with Tenn over the past 3 years.
but it doesn't.
their day to day interactions are fine— beyond the few knowing smirks Tenn shoots him when certain subjects come up in conversation, their interactions are normal. their interactions aren't the issue. it's just that any time Gaku tries to have some private adult unwinding time he just ... can't stop thinking about Tenn. no matter what material he tries to distract himself with, his mind keeps wandering back to his center.
he brushes it off the first time it happens, and the second, but by the third he's running out of excuses. Kujou Tenn's ruined a lot of things for Gaku in their relatively short time together, but making guest appearances during his crank session fantasies is crossing a line.
needless to say, the stress is making Gaku irritable. his normally short temper is markedly even easier to set off— meaning if that if it takes him longer than 5 minutes to find something he's looking for in the kitchen, he's going to start yelling.]
Tenn, where did you put the sesame oil? I thought I told you to stop moving things around!
no subject
He's reading idly in the living room, but sighs loudly with a roll of his eyes when he hears bottles clatter, cupboard doors slam. Gaku has been on edge, recently -- He's been angrier than normal, and shouting over something as simple as misplaced foodstuffs has been common practice. It's getting more than annoying -- especially after he'd come to think that TRIGGER could, maybe, live together in organic warmth and safety. ]
It's still on the second shelf. You're not looking hard enough.
no subject
[he glances back to where Tenn suggests and ... yes, it is right there, hidden behind another bottle of cooking oil.
Gaku just has to sigh, turning away from the shelf and running a hand through his hair before he looks over at Tenn.]
We need to talk.
no subject
About what? Your attitude?
[ he couldn't say that this was sudden-- nobody could. Gaku has been short-fused, even when Tenn isn't egging him on, but ... he can't actually think about why, and Tenn isn't exactly one to start up emotional conversations. ]
no subject
[Gaku has to consciously squash the instinctive urge to say 'no', instantly on edge just from Tenn's tone.]
We need to clear the air about something.
no subject
I'm listening.
no subject
[you're right drea, there is no way to start this conversation without being weird, so it's time to be really indirect.]
