[ there had been a mission out in a town surrounded by woods. these days, with nature taking back what belonged to it before humans had managed, it was hard to travel through anything rural. roads out that way had begun to become non-existent, and the only people who went into the woods were people who went to hide.

mikaela is the one who draws the short straw, and is the one sent to crawl through those woods to see if any wayward children had heard their chopper and fled. ---what he finds, however, is -- a cute black dog with big green eyes. when he leans down to pet it, it---

No. Why should I? Vampires only care about blood, after all.

[ sits down, and sprawls across the blanket, one arm going one way, a leg bent up under him, the other sprawled diagonally. ]
