[ There were many things wrong with this world. The King made it hard for those at the bottom to advance, and ensured that if those at the top did not grow the way he wanted them to that they would be struck down. But ... he was too powerful. Most people could not dream of doing anything to him. He was the King, after all -- there were whispers of a sect sparking a rebellion after seeing too many small people crushed, but -- That wasn't something he paid his mind too much to.
He was part of a nobility that had fallen. They weren't sustainable, and so the King did away with them. With nowhere to turn to -- he became someone who did what he could, he took down the one terrible thing that anyone had any chance actually touching - 'Monsters'. They'd plague the already struggling villages, causing all sorts of problems - Many accidents had been happening in the last weeks that all stemmed from a certain werewolf stealing food from the village. He's been looking for it, for awhile -- following his trail, but ... it's always come up cold. Even if it had been pouring rain, recently -- It was close to a full moon, only a handful of days away. Someone had to deal with it before it became a real problem that the village on it's last legs couldn't handle.
Gearing up, the boy takes his overly ornate hunting knives, pulling his bright red hood over his head as he takes off. ...He didn't particularly want to camouflage. A red hood was bad for hunting animals in the forest, but to monsters -- ... It was a sign of a challenge. ]
