[ nobody was expecting the boulder that fell to block the mountain pass. the squad was making a foolish choice that half of them didn't quite want to make -- they knew that they were in the middle of a typhoon, but they pressed on anyway. news had reached them that the next town over had suffered an attack, and so --- they took off despite the pouring rain and slippery mountain pass. thankfully, no one was hurt -- everyone's reflexes were good enough to move out of the way, but ... the group was split up, with little hope of finding any way of reuniting until the storm passed.
thankfully, once again, mika and yuu ended up trapped close to the mouth of a cave. they had somewhere to get out of the rain that chilled them to the bone and wait things out until everyone was back together.
though, with the coldness of the weather, having no natural body heat sort of makes things more than a pain, but there's no way mika is going to bring that up, of course. ]
